Nordic Race

a term proposed by the French anthropologist J. Deniker to designate tall, dolichocephalic, blond representatives of the Europeoid race, who are spread widely throughout northern Europe, including the northern and northwestern regions of the European USSR. The race includes North Russians, Komi, Karelians, Estonians, West Latvians, Finns, Swedes, Norwegians, the Dutch, the English, and Germans of the northern regions of the Federal Republic of Germany. The term “Nordic race” is almost never used in Soviet anthropology, since it is geographically vague. It was used by the ideologists of racism, including German fascism, in their unscientific, misanthropic theories.
