1. (category theory, of a functor $F$) Right adjoint to a forgetful functor $G$; such that any map $f:G(A)\to X$ induces a universal map ${\bar {f}}:A\to F(X)$.
2. (category theory, of an object) Belonging to the image of some cofree functor.
3. (mathematics) The dual of a free structure.
