[edit]Borrowed from Greek αρβανίτικα (arvanítika), a dialectal variant of αλβανικά (alvaniká, “Albanian”) related to Byzantine Greek Ἀρβανίτης (Arbanítēs). Borrowed from the Albanian word and self-designation Arbër, rhotic variant of Arbën.
