DYK for Grateful Med
[edit]On 12 December 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Grateful Med, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. Olga Kuzmina
[edit]Hi @Yoshiman6464! Since you mentioned that you translated the article from Russian, was the article translated? It certainly doesn't need to be, and the since the Russian version looks completely different, I understand that it wasn't. I'm only asking because if it was, it's customary to add an edit summary like "Content in this edit is translated and revised from the existing Russian Wikipedia article at ru:Кузьмина, Ольга Николаевна; see its history for attribution." It's just so all contributors and articles receive the credit they are due. Apologies if you already know this, I learned the hard way and I wanted to save you the unpleasantness. Let me know if it was and I'll add a translation template to the talk page (or you can if you like). TouchedWithFire (talk) 09:37, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
- @TouchedWithFire: I used a translation as the base. But I added things to the article that weren't in the original article, such as her voice acting as Sailor Moon or the fact that she appeared in the top two Russian films of all time. I also removed any claims of her that weren't cited in the Russian article, and condensed the filmography so that it follows two criteria: 1). It's cited, and 2). It has an English article or has the potential to have an English article. So I added the translation tag (as seen in my next edit). I said, it's my first time creating an article from the translation, especially in finding additional Russian sources and adding new information about her. [edit]
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Ray Lynch when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:IsaacKappy.png
[edit]
A tag has been placed on File:IsaacKappy.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file from a commercial source (e.g. Associated Press, Getty Images), where the file itself is not the subject of sourced commentary. If you can explain why the file can be used under the non-free content guidelines, please add the appropriate non-free use tag and rationale.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Articles for Creation backlog drive
[edit]
Hello Yoshiman6464:
WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in August!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than a month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 August 2026 through 31 August 2026.
You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.
Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 5000 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:38, 19 July 2026 (UTC)
