What? 😮
[edit source]Hi Mr. Whpq,
Good evening! What happened to Ms. GraziePrego? She doesn't like me anymore? 😞 I'm sad.
So, you're my new Mentor? 😉 Thank you for accepting such role for my betterment, as your Mentee.

Deletion
[edit source]Please, start a discussion before deleting. Article Songtexte is very relevant because it is possibly only aside from Genius that is that much comprehensive and popular from Google search. I did not have a chance even to oppose deletion (not listed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/2026 June 12). I propose creating a talk page as other solution to conclude what is a reason for deletion of very relevant stub. Thanks. --Dueds (talk); 03.48, 2026-06-12 (UTC)
@Dueds: The article had no reliable sources nor even made a credible claim of importance. I see you have recreated the article in the same sad state. It is not ready for article space and needs to be developed in draft space. -- Whpq (talk) 03:52, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
fix the pages your deletions affect
[edit source]if you're going to go out of a way to delete a commons image, on whatever grounds: if it's used in a small batch of pages, not more than a few, you should at least attempt to fix the given pages of your own accord -- yet you have not done so in any capacity. let's not be a bureaucracy after this long, yeah? make an effort. especially as an admin. i can't possibly use this as an excuse to comment on renowned editors quitting at record rates, yet i should. just be mindful in the current year. ~2026-34990-58 (talk) 03:54, 14 June 2026 (UTC)

Question from ThatShushi17 (16:22, 16 June 2026)
[edit source]Hello, you've been assigned my mentor! I just wanted to ask about Wikipedia etiquette on talk pages, and I suppose in general, as I've only contributed very small changes so far. I noticed on the page for Antireductionism, it is effectively defined as anti-anti-holism. I wanted to propose merging the content of the page with that of Holism (it is quite small and doesnt cover much new information) and making it redirect there instead, but wasnt sure of how to propose that change. It would be really helpful to know what general etiquette to follow for stuff like this. Thank you in advance! --ThatShushi17 (talk) 16:22, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
- Hi and welcome to Wikipedia. The process for dealing with merge proposals have changed recently, and I must admit I have not used the new method so my advice might be a little off. Merging provides basic information about merging. For uncontroversial merges, you can be bold, and just do it. However, in this case, given that antireductionism has been an article since 2006, some form of discussion would be warranted. Be sure that you have a good reason for the merge. If you do, then you can propose the merge using WP:Articles for Deletion (which really ought to be renamed to Articles for Discussion, but I digress). The steps for dealing doing the nomination are a bit clunky as tools to automate some of it do not appear to have been developed. If you proceed with this merge proposal, and have difficulty sorting out the templates to use, or the steps to follow, you can ask me, or make use of the Teahouse, a place where editors new to Wikipedia can ask questions and get help. --- Whpq (talk) 17:07, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
- Alright, thank you for the advice! :) ThatShushi17 (talk) 17:19, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
File:-image = Johnny Aspinal 2026.png
[edit source]Hi Whpq. Could you take a look at File:-image = Johnny Aspinal 2026.png? It looks to be the same as File:Johnny Aspinal 2026.png. I did tag both files with {{npd}}, but I've got no idea why some IP account subsequently tried to get them both deleted per F7 for NFCC reasons. I've got no problem with the npd tags being removed if you or some other admin feels they aren't needed; there's no real need, though, for two of the same file, and it seems one should be deleted as being redundant per F1. For reference, the same image was uploaded to Commons, but it's been tagged for deleted for being "out of scope". -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:50, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, I did see they were duplicates but I got distracted and never got around to dealing with it then. Thanks for the reminder. -- Whpq (talk) 13:41, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for doing that. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:03, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
Question from Geshuine Tilman (01:18, 22 June 2026)
[edit source]How to I create my own page on iPhone 15 plus --Geshuine Tilman (talk) 01:18, 22 June 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. It's unclear what you want to do. Do you want to create an article about the iPhone 15 plus? If so, we already have an article, as the plus is combined with the base version in an article at iPhone 15. If you are asking how to create an article by editing on your iPhone 15 plus, there are a few ways to do this. You can use a web browser and use Wikipedia in the mobile view. There is also an iOS app for Wikipedia. I'm not familiar it so, I am unable to provide much guidance there. My own preference in editing on mobile is to use the website, but switch to desktop view, which is the same presentation I get when using a computer. Help:Mobile access provides some more information about using Wikipedia from a mobile device. -- Whpq (talk) 01:59, 22 June 2026 (UTC)

BLP draft Heather Conneely
[edit source]Hello WHPQ:
You deleted the draft BLP for Heather Conneely. I believe I have found new secondary sources that will make the case for a Wikipedia page for Heather Conneely. How should we proceed?
I am new to Wikipedia so not that could at attaching info. I will do so in a subsequent message to you. Please await the new info.
Sincerely, Nome Hodas NomeHodas (talk) 21:54, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
Here is the additional information:
a graduate of American Cooperative School of La Paz, Bolivia and University of Notre Dame (Indiana), Conneely is a Latina business leader who frequently advocates for increased Hispanic representation and investment in corporate America and mainstream media. She was a keynote speaker at the We All Grow Latina Summit 2016. She is a sales and advertising executive, with experience at Univision, Facebook and Meta[1] [2] [3] [4]

@NomeHodas: What was deleted was not a draft. It was in article space. There is no additional information. Those references were the same as the ones that were in the deleted article. I can restore this to draft space for you to work on, but if those are the best references you have, there is zero chance for it to be moved into article space. -- Whpq (talk) 01:14, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
- Hello Whpq:
- Please restore the fragment to draft space so that I may work on this in the future. In your view, what would it take to move the dial on this topic. I am not sure what else is out there for her, but what kind of notability are you looking for? NomeHodas (talk) 22:52, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
- I've restored it to Draft:Heather Conneely. Notability is established by substantial coverage in multiple independent reliable sources. You have a Forbes article where Conneely is being quoted. That's not coverage about her. The Alumni Society is a networking and promotional group for Latinos. That's hardly indpendent or a reliable source. 92NY is also not a reliable source, nor is Youtube. -- Whpq (talk) 12:03, 30 June 2026 (UTC)

Question from Theannadelvey (21:58, 29 June 2026)
[edit source]Hi Whpq, since you’ve been assigned as my mentor, im asking for your guidance on the best way to proceed with my edit request in the article about me. Would you mind taking a look at the last discussion on the Anna Delvey talk page? Thank you! Anna --Theannadelvey (talk) 21:58, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
- To be blunt, your original edit request looks exactly like the sort of request that would be generated by an LLM. Using AI to write for you is a bad idea. The edit request, regardless of whether it was written by you, or by a chatbot, is long and wordy. If you have a specific issue with the wording, you need to identify the text that needs replacing, then provide the text that you are proposing, and provide reliable sources or a proper succinct explanation of why the change is being requested. See WP:EDITREQUEST. -- Whpq (talk) 12:09, 30 June 2026 (UTC)
Question from Megaevans1957 (00:50, 1 July 2026)
[edit source]Hi, I am trying to update some information - a website that is no longer active. Not sure if I did it correctly. Help please?? --Megaevans1957 (talk) 00:50, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
- I assume you are referring to the article on the Northcote Koori Mural. Given your user name, it looks like you are the artists referred to in the article, and the website you are referring to is a page from your web site used in the references. Your edit was reverted because it looked like you were just trying to insert your web site to replace all of the references. What you did in trying to fix the dead reference was not done correctly. Additionally, as a reference, your web site would be a primary source. I've taken care of the issue by reusing an coexisting reference from a newspaper that provides the same verification of imformation. -- Whpq (talk) 12:22, 1 July 2026 (UTC)

[edit source]Hi Whpq, I am new to editing Wikipedia, so I was wondering if you could check out my first edit. Although I did not change any material, I just changed the wording and grammar. I would appreciate your feedback on it. it is Neapolitan Republic (1647–1648). --RAGDot (talk) 14:00, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
- Hi and welcome to Wikipedia. There's a lot to learn about how to edit Wikipedia, and some of it may be overwhelming. I don't want this reply to sound discouraging, but there are issues with the changes you made. But as you are asking me to review, its clear you want to learn and improve which is wonderful.
- You made changes to the date format. There are a couple of problems here. The first is that one should not change an established date format in an existing article. Wikipedia is a global project with editors from around the world that use a variety of date formats. To reduce contention about the date format to use, one generally shouldn't change the date format used in an article. The second is that you are using a date format that is considered unacceptable. Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Dates and numbers provides more information about this.
- You also bolded the dates which is not needed and distracting. Bolding is used for some specific purposes on Wikipedia, and it should not have been applied to the dates. Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Text formatting provides some more information about the formatting of text in Wikipedia.
- You should change these problem items back to the way they were before. -- Whpq (talk) 15:05, 1 July 2026 (UTC)

You're invited to the Mentorship noticeboard
[edit source]Hi, Whpq. You are cordially invited to the brand new Wikipedia:Mentorship noticeboard. I get the impression sometimes that we mentors are each toiling in our own cubbyhole or hamster wheel, quietly answering mentee questions with little to no interaction with other mentors. I think we have a lot to share and learn from each other, and I know it will make me feel better just having the opportunity to interact with you and other mentors there, and I hope it will for you, too. Looking forward to hearing your feedback. Please take the § Survey when you get there! Mathglot (talk) 03:08, 11 July 2026 (UTC)

[edit source]How do you create a page for an organisation that is mentioned a number of times but does not have its own page? --Johnrock23 (talk) 22:48, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
- As a new editor, you would need to create the article as a draft. Help:Your first article provides some guidance on how to write an article. Before you start on something like this, it would be a good idea to edit existing articles to get more familiar with editing. If you are in any way affiliated with the organisation, you will need to adhere to Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines. -- Whpq (talk) 16:23, 17 July 2026 (UTC)

Regardless of whether you used AI, or wrote it yourself, the text is promotional which is also not acceptable. Articles for Creation backlog drive
[edit source]
Hello Whpq:
WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in August!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than a month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 August 2026 through 31 August 2026.
You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.
Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 5000 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:38, 19 July 2026 (UTC)
