Hi Viv, I know the Personnel for I can't tell you why by the Eagles and When you Believe had been reverted by Binksternet. I don't wanna get blocked by the Admins. Uniqueability23 (talk) 11:19, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
- I don't know the full context but as I understand it you're talking about a reverted edit to the article When You Believe? If I understand your comment, it sounds like you're not sure why your edit was reverted.
- If that's right, it might help to understand that all Wikipedia really is is a collection of summaries of other people's work. There's some more nuance to it than that, but basically all we're doing is summarizing sources. And with that, all summaries must be clearly connected to the work we're summarizing. So, if someone adds information without a citation, someone else will come in and remove it.
- If you're certain that Hans Zimmer was one of the arrangers of When You Believe, you'll need to find a source that makes the specific claim and cite it in the article. Although there were additional issues with that section—namely, none of it was cited, which is presumably why Binksternet removed all of it. It's a bit confusing when you're first getting used to it, so don't worry too much if you make mistakes. I'm sure nobody will ban you if you're trying your best to figure out how this stuff works. More generally, it might help to take a look at Wikipedia:Contributing to Wikipedia which provides a good overview. Viv Desjardin (talk, contrib) 16:13, 2 April 2025 (UTC)

You are invited to participate in The World Destubathon. It's currently planned for June 16-July 13, partly due to me having hayfever during that period and not wanting to run it throughout July or August in the hotter summer and will be run then unless multiple editors object. There is currently $3338 going into it, with $500 the top prize. As 250 countries and entities is too much to patrol, entries will be by user, but there is $500 going into prizes for editors covering the most countries. Sign up if interested! ♦ Dr. Blofeld
Hi, I notice you are interested in improving the above article. Looks like there have been some edits recently which could do with a once-over for possible copyediting or expansion, I was wondering if you could help? Thank you 😊 GnocchiFan (talk) 21:32, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
- Yep, I saw those a few minutes ago. At first glance they seem constructive albeit poorly formatted. I was hoping to go over them in more detail later today Viv Desjardin (talk, contrib) 21:38, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you, I appreciate that! GnocchiFan (talk) 17:05, 5 June 2025 (UTC)
Destubathon runs until the 16th of July
[edit]Hi, just a courtesy message to notify you in case you haven't seen the Wikipedia:The World Destubathon contest update in the last few days that we've decided to run the full month until the 16th of July. For those who have been too busy to contribute, we would love some help in reaching 4000 articles by Wednesday night! At present we're about 480 articles short!♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:45, 13 July 2025 (UTC)

You are invited to participate in the Destubathon of the Americas, a contest/editathon which will run from May 1 to May 31. The goal is to destub as many of our 475,000+ stubs for the Americas (from Alaska down to Chile) as possible. A good chance to have fun in expanding many of our old stale stubs and win up to £2000 ($2680) in Amazon vouchers for expanding stub articles. Sign up in the Contestants/participants section on the contest page if interested. Even if not interested in prizes you are still warmly welcome to participate in it as an editathon! Hopefully we can achieve something significant in the month of May together! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:43, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
