Hi, welcome to Wikipedia! My talk page isn't meant for requesting the creation of an article. You might want to check out the articles for creation process. From your username and the subject you're describing I assume you might have a conflict of interest with the subject, so I'd encourage you to check our rules about that. June 2026 GAN Backlog Drive notice

[edit]

Hi there! Thanks for signing up for the June 2026 GAN backlog drive! We have noticed that you have made little to no reviews during the drive. We, the coordinators, would appreciate if you'd pick up at least one GAN to review until the end of the month! Thank you. Vacant0 (talkcontribs) 12:25, 18 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hey! Thanks for the ping, I'm still working on my review of Truth, but some other things have come up. Hopefully finishing that soon. In solidarity, ScrubbedFalcon (talk) 18:33, 19 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Question from GardenStateEditor (19:18, 18 June 2026)

[edit]

Hi! I'm new to Wikipedia and I created an article in the sandbox. I was wondering if you could take a look at provide feedback? --GardenStateEditor (talk) 19:18, 18 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi! Welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for disclosing your COI with your draft. I noticed that you submitted it thought the Article for Creation process, so another editor will be along eventually to review the submission. At first glance I would suggest that you take a look at our manual of style, using symbols like "®" in text is generally not appropriate. The tone you use also likely falls afoul of our rules about promotional language. Particularly because you have a COI, the editor reviewing your submission is likely to take a closer look at the sources, I noticed most of them are in Italia, which is fine, but it does mean that it may take longer for it to be reviewed (you probably need to wait for an editor who speaks Italian). Make sure that the sources support the notability of the organization. In solidarity, ScrubbedFalcon (talk) 18:28, 19 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the feedback! I'll make some adjustments GardenStateEditor (talk) 19:10, 19 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Question from Justfine59 (19:34, 18 June 2026)

[edit]

Hi! I was on the page “CAN-SPAM Act” and I noticed that there were multiple cited claims about the first conviction under that act, probably among other things. How do I do the thing where there is a superscripted note that contests what’s been said, and what is that called? --Justfine59 (talk) 19:34, 18 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

There are a couple of templates that you might be referring to, for example Disputed inline. There's a whole list of these types of maintenance templates here. Depending on the editor that you're using you can insert a template by, in the visual editor clicking on the insert template button, or in the source editor adding something like {{disputed inline}}. You should note that the use of the templates does have rules (so for example the disputed tempalte should be used if there is an editorial dispute or you might use {{Dubious}} if the source might not be reliable. In solidarity, ScrubbedFalcon (talk) 18:47, 19 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you! That should be helpful. Justfine59 (talk) 18:48, 19 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Question from Swapnilsparsh (17:37, 19 June 2026)

[edit]

Hello and thank you for welcoming me to Wikipedia community. I want to contribute to edits so can you help me understand how do we find articles that need changes or improvements also if any there is no page made for any topic then how can we make a new one. Thanks --Swapnilsparsh (talk) 17:37, 19 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

There are a number of ways to find things to do on Wikipedia! On your homepage there should be a module on the left with suggestions of edits you could make and articles to edit based on interests that you tell it. You might also want to look at the task center. If you want to create an article I would encourage you to go though the Articles for creation process. Question from SamelaSH (05:15, 20 June 2026)

[edit]
Note: SamelaSH's mentor Veko is away.

Hi Mentor I am finding today's Wikipedia technoogy obfuscatory and need guidance in making additions and corrections to content. Ironically, I created the content myself- but a lifetime ago when I was younger and it was simpler. The page concerns my father, Max Harris, and recent developments. I also want to shore up the questions thrown in about sources. Can you guide? Best Samela --SamelaSH (talk) 05:15, 20 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi Samela, welcome to Wikipedia! I'm not sure which Max Harris you're talking about (we have articles about multiple people by that name). Could you specify which article and what questions you have about editing it? Because you're related to the article subject, you have a conflict of interest so the best way to go about making the edits is probably by using the COI edit request wizard which will create a topic on the article talk page for another editor to review. In solidarity, ScrubbedFalcon (talk) 10:07, 20 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
That is satisfactory, of course. Who can resist working with a wizard? The Max Harris in whom I am interested is indeed my father, the Angry Penguin and subject of the Ern Malley literary hoax and there is an interesting update relevant. I've always liked how swift Wikipedia is with the news.
I'm writing about it all and I want to see the facts recorded correctly on Wikipedia which I have supported from its very beginning. (Interviewed Jimmy Wales a lifetime ago and just heard him talking at Sydney Writers' Week.) But I am an elderly journo and not an academic. Mentors and wizards are brilliant. Thanks so much for your prompt attention. Solidarity right back at you! ~2026-35764-81 (talk) 12:47, 20 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

How can I post or make a brand new wikipedia page --Liwwyyyyyy (talk) 23:25, 21 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi, welcome to Wikipedia! I would encourage you to check out your first article and go through the articles for creation process if you're trying to publish an article. You should know that writing new articles is hard and I would also encourage you to get some experience editing existing articles and finding reliable sources before trying to write something from scratch. You're invited to the Mentorship noticeboard

[edit]

Hi, ScrubbedFalcon. You are cordially invited to the brand new Wikipedia:Mentorship noticeboard! I get the impression that we mentors are each toiling in our own cubbyhole or hamster wheel, as the case may be, quietly answering mentee questions with little to no interaction with other mentors. I think we have a lot to learn from each other, and I know it will make me feel better just having the opportunity to interact with you and other mentors there, and I hope it will for you, too. Look forward to seeing you there! Mathglot (talk) 08:41, 3 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Question from BagoutGuy (13:48, 5 July 2026)

[edit]

Hi Please tell me what is wrong in the next paragraph. There are two more principle that should be kept in mind.

"The Tiger Mouth"; Hands are relaxed, fingers slightly apart. The thumb is away from the others fingers. The opening created by the thumb and the index finger is called "Tiger's Mouth.
"Roll the Ball"; This is a transition move seen in many parts of the exercise. The arms are cross at the middle of the forearm in front of the chest. The upper palm facing down and the lower palm facing up . The movement is similar to roiling a ball between the forarms.

Question from SoumyajitDas1 (14:14, 6 July 2026)

[edit]

Hello sir , I'm very much interested in wikipedia editing and creating custom page. My local area place like school, collage and other areas are not list in the wikipedia so I have few questions regarding topics are : It's is ok? If the place is not popular but it's presense in the internet like google map and custom website but it's not has list in wikipedia page to create?

If I did any mistake can I able to fix it ? If add local information about history and related facts. Lastly if I have biased my any place in my local I can't describe as negative language? --SoumyajitDas1 (talk) 14:14, 6 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello @SoumyajitDas1,
Many articles on Wikipedia are missing information about local schools and businesses because they do not appear in reliable sources. This is normal. If you find a book or other article about local history, you can improve articles using that source, not with anything you know personally. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 16:29, 15 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Question from Vanetmay (18:43, 8 July 2026)

[edit]

Hello,

Why can't I find a draft that I need to finish editing?

Thanks --Vanetmay (talk) 18:43, 8 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Vanetmay,
Your work is only saved on Wikipedia when you click (or tap) the "Publish" button. I do not see any other saved edits in your history so it may have been only on your local computer. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 16:30, 15 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Then what's the point of "drafts"? Vanetmay (talk) 23:14, 15 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Drafts are like articles, but are not found through Google or other search engines, as it is assumed they are a work in progress. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 13:43, 16 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Question from RanaBerryTheEsotericMusician (14:42, 10 July 2026)

[edit]

hii, There are specific niches where editors specialize, does Wikipedia make this clear through specific roles or personalized recommendations based on topics of interest? If so, are there ways to connect within these niches through discussion groups provided or encouraged by Wikipedia? If possible, could you cite examples, such as spaces focused on music? --RanaBerryTheEsotericMusician (talk) 14:42, 10 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi @RanaBerryTheEsotericMusician, I'm not aware of personalized recommendation systems besides User:SuggestBot, which will deliver aticles that you might want to edit, but many editors collaborate through what are called WikiProjects. The broadest WikiProject that applies to music is of course WP:WikiProject Music, but there are subgenres within it, like Metal. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 16:34, 15 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

Hello! Is there a way to find out why my edits have been reverted? --Jack Coyote (talk) 09:52, 13 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Jack Coyote, if you look at the history of the page you were editing, you can see the edit summary of everyone who contributed. For Economics of the arts and literature, you can see that MrOllie restored an old version of the page because of the addition of "inappropriate company namedrops and promo". If you dispute this characterization of your editing, you could bring it up at the talk page of that article. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 17:30, 15 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Removal from mentor list + other notes regarding inactivity

[edit]

Hello ScrubbedFalcon, I have removed your name from the list of mentors, as you have been inactive for several weeks and a decent number of your assigned mentees have been asking questions. Normally I would set your status as "away", but I have no time frame for when you will return. For the same reason, I have vacated your review of the article Truth and returned it to the queue.

You are free to add your name to the list of mentors again once you return to editing. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 15:18, 15 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
