Question about merge tags

You reverted the {{merge to}} and {{merge from}} tags that I had applied to Draft:Zippy Kimundu and Draft:Zippy Kimundu 2, requesting that these two drafts be merged through normal editing, not through the deprecated formal merge process. I was not requesting a formal merge, which is deprecated, but was providing information for future editing of drafts. I know that the formal merge procedure has been deprecated, but have the merge tags themselves been deprecated? Is there another comparably simple procedure for a reviewer to make notations that drafts can be merged? Robert McClenon (talk) 20:55, 18 July 2026 (UTC)

Articles for Creation backlog drive

Hello FaviFake:

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in August!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than a month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 August 2026 through 31 August 2026.

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.

Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
