Wanted to reach out, regarding this
[edit]Hey @Davidindia, thanks a lot for all the work you put into making biographical articles for countless people in India, that deserves to be on wikipedia, but unfortunately aren't. Especially, thanks for work on Bio's of Northeasternsǃǃ
I therefore wanted to reach out though to see if you might be interested in creating articles about members of the Indian Clergy, especially Bishops. I noticed that many of them lack articles despite being inherently notable under Wikipedia guidelines. Would this be something in your lane, that you might potentially want to help out? Flyingphoenixchips (talk) 22:34, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I try to do a lot of BLPs for North Eastern sportspeople and MLAs. When I started the MLA lists, 80 per cent did not have pages. But much more needs to be done!
- And Sure, let me know how I can support this project. I will try my best... Yes, many Indian clergy deserve articles. thanks and happy editing! Davidindia (talk) 21:08, 6 May 2026 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Davidindia. Thank you for your work on Coca Boom. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
Thank you for creating this biography through acknowledged translation from the Spanish aricle. An editor has wondered about notability (a fair point), but I feel that the form and structure is sufficiently clear that more content can be builed from here. Add more of their biographical details would be helpful, as it is rather sparse.
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
Klbrain (talk) 17:40, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Klbrain: Hi, thanks for taking the time to review the page. Surely, I will try to do my best in adding more content and reliable citations. It was one of those I was trying to do from the Recent Death lists... thanks and Happy editing! Davidindia (talk) 19:00, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
Draft review request for Draft:The Signal Post
[edit]Hello! I noticed that you frequently review and help improve recently created pages and drafts. I was wondering if you could take a look at Draft Signal Post when you have time.
I’ve been working on improving the sourcing, formatting, and neutrality of the draft, and I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions. If you feel it meets the notability and article standards, a review for possible move to mainspace would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and for helping new editors around Wikipedia! Hikemountain (talk) 17:31, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Hikemountain: Hi dear, thanks for reaching out. I see that you have already submitted the draft. I don't have the rights to check the page as I am not an AfC reviewer. Also I am not good in technology. If you write any article on Sports or Politics you are free to ping me before you submit it. Also check your sources, the third one is dead. I hope you know that you are NOT supposed to use AI for the draft... Please feel free to get for any sports or politics articles. Happy editing! Davidindia (talk) 18:07, 16 May 2026 (UTC)

West Bengal MLA articles
[edit]Hi!
Thank you for your excellent work on creating articles about the newly elected members of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. I noticed that you've already created most of them, and only a few are still missing.
If you have the time, it would be great if you could create the remaining articles as well. Completing the set would be a valuable contribution to Wikipedia.
Thanks again for your hard work, and happy editing! – Tuhin (talk) 09:23, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Tuhin, Thanks for the kind words. Much appreciated. Some red links remained because a novice editor created pages that were not well sourced and they were moved to AfC drafts by another editor. In order, not to deprieve the original editor an addition in his "pages created list" I expanded the articles and made them well sourced and submitted the drafts, instead of creating new pages myself. These are the only red links remaining on 2026 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election...
- But another editor, CopyleftEverything who reviewed the AfCs misunderstood WP:NPol I think, and rejected all the drafts saying they don't pass NPol. I don't blame him as AFC reviewers need to be careful. I became busy and forgot to send a talk msg to him.
- Also after creating more than 1100 articles for Newly elected MLAs based on NPol after every assembly election in recent years, I was a bit disappointed and stopped creating new pages. As u know, after 4 May 2026 election results I created articles for over 200 new MLAs from TN, WB, Assam and Kerala.
- You can see the rejections in my talk page above: Draft:Deepanjan Kumar Guha, Draft:Subir Nag and Draft:Swaraj Ghosh... the original creator moved them back to main space with a redirect... I dont know if it correct. Please check and help restore normalcy... As a senior citizen, I am not very good on technical side... thanks and happy editing, Davidindia (talk) 12:50, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
- @Davidindia, Members of State Legislative Assemblies in India are automatically presumed to be notable under WP:NPOL. Therefore, I believe these articles should normally be eligible for inclusion on Wikipedia.
- I took a close look at the list and noticed that the articles for the newly elected MLAs from constituencies 90 and 187 have not yet been created. Until now, the list linked those two entries to biographies of different people with the same names, which I have now corrected. You can now create those two articles. Tuhin (talk) 19:05, 24 June 2026 (UTC)
- @Tuhin Sure, will do that in a while. thanks! Davidindia (talk) 08:27, 25 June 2026 (UTC)

- @Tuhin Sure, will do that in a while. thanks! Davidindia (talk) 08:27, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
- @MPGuy2824, when you have a minute, can you please see if these redirects of declined AfCs by another editor are ok technically... Draft:Deepanjan Kumar Guha, Draft:Subir Nag and Draft:Swaraj Ghosh.. thanks! Davidindia (talk) 08:33, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
- Indian MLA articles are presumed to be notable under WP:NPOL and WP:NSUBPOL. So, assuming none of them are hoaxes, I don't see any issues with the articles themselves. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 08:41, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
- @MPGuy2824, thanks for the reply. Yes, I only expanded these drafts and made them well sourced and submitted. But my doubt is, are the "REDIRECTS" ok. (done by another editor). They were declined, and from declined AfC drafts, they are moved to main space as "redirect"... . The first line shows, (Redirected from Draft:Swaraj Ghosh)... Thanks a lot! Davidindia (talk) 09:06, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
- Don't worry about them, they're fine. This is how page moves work in Wikipedia; the page is moved to the new location and automatically a redirect is created at the old location to point to the new one. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 11:06, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
