The Education Amendment Act (Learning to Age 18), 2006 is an act of the Canadian province of Ontario. It amended the Education Act in relation to school attendance and equivalent learning. The was also known by its former name Education Statute Law Amendment Act (Learning to Age 18), 2005.[1]
School attendance
[edit]The bill made it mandatory for students to attend school until age 18, up from the age of 16.[1] The same exceptions to attendance that existed before were continued, but a new exception was provided for students when they were participating in equivalent learning.
