Template:Uw-multiple-accts
Hello, I noticed that you have recently created an alternative account, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's alternative account policy. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here? I'd appreciate learning your reasons for creating an additional account. Thank you.
This template should always be substituted – use {{subst:Uw-multiple-accts}}. Any accidental transclusions will be automatically substituted by a bot. |
Usage
[edit]{{subst:Uw-multiple-accts}}{{subst:Uw-multiple-accts|Username}}references a specific username{{subst:Uw-multiple-accts|Username|Additional text}}adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you"{{subst:Uw-multiple-accts||Additional text}}or{{subst:Uw-multiple-accts|2=Additional text}}also adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you", but doesn't link a page as specified by the username.- The username parameter is expected to be just the username of the subsequently created account. This template should be applied to the earliest account. The second parameter that replaces "Thank you" is rendered as boldface.
Please remember to substitute the template using {{subst:Uw-multiple-accts}} rather than {{Uw-multiple-accts}}.
To customize your message, parameters are available; one to add the article name, and one to add additional text at the end of the message. If your param value contains an equal sign (as urls often do), then be sure to explicitly specify the positional parameter by number; i.e., use |1= or |2= followed by the value; e.g., |1=XYZ=Repainting.
