Brandon Rheas Departure

[edit]

Hello, in regards to the "Key People" section of the article page's infobox, Brandon Rhea no longer works for FANDOM. And, since there currently is no vice president for FANDOM as of now, maybe someone could reedit it to "Former VP of Community"? Delaney (Talk to me!) 00:24, 3 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect Draft:Fandom (webiste) has been listed at redirects for discussion to determine whether its use and function meets the redirect guidelines. Why these?

[edit]

Why is it that only these wikis get Wikipedia articles?

Why not the wikis for MLP: FIM, Marvel, Heroes, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Villains, Dragon Ball, Riordan, Pure Evil, Superpowers, or even Disney? ~2026-20455-52 (talk) 17:42, 18 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

the short answer is notability. those wikis have gotten independent coverage from other sources, to the extent of getting their own articles. in that same vein, it's why fandom has an article, but not fextralife (it's just a redirect to an article that doesn't mention it, so i've also nominated it for rfd) or wiki.gg (no article)
the long answer is reading the notability guideline linked above lol
if you can find reliable sources about those wikis (really, good luck with the pure evil and superpowers ones), they could then potentially get articles consarn (talk beige) (count ribs) 19:07, 18 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
What about this https://www.equestriadaily.com/2023/06/the-my-little-pony-wiki-gets-mentioned.html ~2026-20455-52 (talk) 19:19, 18 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
not reliable. in this case, the source is user-generated (a blog) and not significant coverage (even the mention it describes in passing is in passing)
really, it's a good idea to read the policies on notability and reliable sources to get a feel for what would be usable consarn (talk beige) (count ribs) 19:36, 18 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
But it says the wiki was mentioned in an official comic. Besides, there's a Wikipedia article for everything else Brony related, including that website. ~2026-20455-52 (talk) 01:25, 19 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
the comic itself also wouldn't be reliable unless secondary sources (think stuff like newspapers, but not as stuck in 2008) decided to report on it, and this one incident still isn't significant enough from what's been shown here
that is to say, if you can find reliable sources reporting on the reference to the wiki, it might be a good idea to add those
also, i know for a fact that there's not an article for "everything else" brony-related, because there's no lily orchard- fuck i mentioned her again consarn (talk beige) (count ribs) 11:03, 19 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
