[edit]This BBC article covers a lot The tiny country between England and Scotland. - 112.119.221.3 (talk) 22:25, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
I have created my own map on Border Reivers using GIS
[edit]Hi all, I thought I would just add that I created a new map on the Border Reivers page using GIS software and tracing a map created by an academic that created. Feel free to use.
I am going to do further maps as it seems I quite enjoy creating maps and it's so much less hard than I thought, e.g. the Religious and Secular liberties of the English-side, and hopefully once I find more information (any information!) on the Scottish equilavents, the Regalities, on the other-side of the Border. Excellent source on the Debatable Land
[edit]Hi all!
I am currently working through "England’s Northern Frontier: Conflict and Local Society in the Fifteenth-Century Scottish Marches" by Jackson W. Armstrong. It is serious academic, as it says, it is mainly focussed on English-side. But from page 62 to page 63 it covers the going academic theory, and perhaps the only good theory, on how the Debatable Land formed. It is a bit wordy for the article I am editing, Border reivers, but I thought it would it work well here.
Thanks again! Lategreatanddead (talk) 15:11, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
