The author (and founder of the Bahá'í Faith) Bahá'ú'lláh wrote on numerous occasions of ideas similar to cosmopolitanism e.g. the Oneness of Humanity which is not particularly dissimilar from cosmopolitanism, and could be a relevant point for the history of Cosmopolitanism.
