Name Section
[edit]Hi @Wracking, I'm confused about why Name doesn't need its own section when in other bands, they have a Name section. I've tried looking through the MOS for music, but I don't find anything relating to Name section. Saenryl (talk) 02:18, 30 May 2026 (UTC)
- Not all musical groups have a section for their name; sometimes there's not much to write about. Why would we need a separate section for a 1–3 sentences? I don't believe it improves the article, especially when that information can go in the history with the announcement of the group's name. See also MOS:OVERSECTION:
Very short sections and subsections clutter an article with headings and inhibit the flow of the prose. Short paragraphs and single sentences generally do not warrant their own subheadings.
Wracking talk! 02:25, 30 May 2026 (UTC)- Got it, thank you for the explanation. Saenryl (talk) 01:17, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
