John L. Outlaw (born January 8, 1946) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive back in the National Football League (NFL) for the Boston/New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles.[1][2] He also played in the American Football League (AFL) for the Patriots.[citation needed] Outlaw played college football for the Jackson State Tigers and was selected in the 10th round of the 1968 NFL/AFL draft.[1]
