Johan Mahler Klehs (born June 27, 1952) is an American politician who served on the California State Board of Equalization from 1995 to 2003. A member of the Democratic Party, Klehs served in the California State Assembly from 2004 to 2006 and from 1982 to 1994. He also served as a member of the San Leandro City Council from 1978 to 1982.

Klehs chaired the Board of Equalization three times during his tenure and was also a member of the California Franchise Tax Board. He was an unsuccessful Democratic candidate for California State Controller in 2002 and the California State Senate in 2006. After leaving elected office, Klehs joined the faculty of the University of California, Berkeley as a lecturer of political science and strategic advisor to the chancellor.
