André Nel, Vincent PERRICHOT, Dany Azar & Didier NÉRAUDEAU. -A replacement name for the neuropteran genus Eorhachiberotha Nel et aL, 2005 (Neuroptera, Rhachiberothidae)
We recently proposed a new genus of Thorny Lacewing (Insecta, Neuroptera, Rhachi¬ berothidae) from the Eocene amber of France. Unfortunately, the name we employed was proposed at the same time by the American palaeoentomologist M. S. Engel in another publication dealing with fossil rhachiberothids from the Burmese amber.
As Eorhachiberotha Engel, 2004, was first published, we therefore propose the following replacement name for our Eocene fossil : Oisea Nel, Perrichot, Azar & Néraudeau, new name for Eorhachiberotha Nel, Perrichot, Azar & Néraudeau, 2005 : 77 (type species : E. celinea Nel, Perrichot, Azar & Néraudeau, 2005) nomen praeoccupatum (nec Eorhachiberotha Engel, 2004, fossilised in the Albian Burmese amber).
Etymology. The new genus name is derived from the Oise department where was fossilised the amber containing the specimen.
Included species : Oisea celinea new combination.
