Join CULC
CULC members are libraries serving populations of 100,000 or more in an urban centre and are represented by their library leadership. While most activity happens at the CEO level, participation from additional library staff is encouraged through our working groups, committees, and partnerships.
Libraries sharing CULC’s raison d’etre—to promote and support vibrant, community-focused services through urban libraries—are encouraged to apply. As a member of CULC, you’ll gain access to a collaborative network of peers and resources to support your library’s role as a community hub. Benefits include:
- Advocacy efforts on national policies affecting urban libraries
- Participation in influential working groups, projects, and research initiatives
- Access to strategic resources, events, and member-exclusive tools
- Opportunities to shape the future of public libraries in Canada
Interested libraries are asked to submit an application demonstrating their commitment to urban library services. Annual fees are determined based on the library’s service population, in combination with a fixed amount.
For more information about the process or to start your application, please contact Mary Chevreau, Executive Director.
