This week&#8217;s featured content is exactly the sort of innovative co-authorship that Creative Commons, and good folks like <a href=\"https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/learn\/features\/opsound\">Opsound<\/a>, make possible.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.activefreemedia.org\/people\/\">Colin Mutchler<\/a> explains:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>About a month after submitting a few acoustic guitar tracks to<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.opsound.org\">Opsound<\/a>&#8216;s <a href=\"http:\/\/opsound.org\/opsound\/pool\/mutchler.html\">sound pool<\/a> [and thus releasing the song under an <a href=\"https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by-sa\/1.0\/\">Attribution-ShareAlike<\/a> license], I got an email from a violinist named Cora Beth, who had added a violin track to one of the guitar tracks, &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.activefreemedia.com\/gallery\/music\/colin\/my_life.mp3\">My Life<\/a>.&#8221;  She called it &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.activefreemedia.com\/gallery\/music\/colin\/my_life_changed.mp3\">My Life Changed<\/a>,&#8221; and I think the track is definitely more beautiful now.  Maybe eventually we&#8217;ll add drums and words.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This is collaboration across space and time, as our <a href=\"http:\/\/mirrors.creativecommons.org\">Flash movie<\/a> puts it &#8212; with no rights-clearing needed. Great stuff.
