A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, File:Covenant between William & Mary’s Catholic Student Association and Canterbury, 1977.jpg, is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". If someone else created the content, the source should be the address to the web page where you found it, the name and ISBN of the book you scanned it from, or similar. You should also name the author, provide verifiable information to show that the content is in the public domain or has been published under a free license by its author, and add an appropriate template identifying the public domain or licensing status, if you have not already done so. @Logosx127: The template you reinserted on the page says the year in it: 1927 at the latest. It's 95 years from publication unless mitigating circumstances exist (original author's death ~70 years ago, which doesn't apply when the author can't be identified).
As for why you get messages on your talk page: those are required notices. If I see an image is a copyright violation, I tag it immediately. Some images take days to be deleted, others seconds. I have no role in the deletion beyond tagging the image with rationale and following the policy to alert the uploader immediately. You don't get to stop a tag; a reviewer can establish if there's a copyright violation with near absolute certainty, so there is no chance to respond. You should only upload images you are certain are in the public domain.
Additionally, you should always provide clear information on the sources of your images. Many of those paintings you have uploaded might eventually go to a deletion discussion if you can't provide verifiable dates for when they were originally made and by whom they were made. ~ Pbritti (talk) 06:49, 17 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

I also want to highlight what an incredible turnout we had. In the second round, we saw a massive jump in both the number of users voting and the total votes cast. We had exactly 13,979 votes cast by 3,509 users! To put that in perspective, last year we had 7,403 votes from 2,837 users. It is amazing to see that level of growth and community engagement.
Thank you to everyone who voted, helped organize, and generally made the contest such a huge success this year!
