Ciao Propoli! Innanzitutto grazie per le belle immagini che stai caricando. Probabilmente da nuovo utente nessuno ti ha spiegato cosa sono le categorie, e le stai mettendo un po' a caso. Te le ho corrette per le ultime foto, dai un'occhiata. Adesso ti spiego, comunque: Commons ha milioni di foto e ci sono diversi modi per cercarle. Il primo, più semplice, è quello per titolo o descrizione, usando la casella di ricerca o Google. I tuoi titoli e descrizioni però non sono particolarmente esplicativi di cosa rappresentino le immagini, dove e quando siano state scattate, per cui rischiano di finire in un calderone dove nessuno le vedrà mai.
Il secondo modo per cercare le immagini è quello delle categorie, che sono come delle scatole ben strutturate in cui andare a colpo sicuro. Diciamo che ogni scatola può contenerne altre, ma non dovrebbe mai contenere più di qualche centinaio di foto, perché diventerebbero inutilizzabili e troppo lunghe da scorrere. Per questo è sbagliato usare categorie generiche per raggruppare le immagini, come "Nature" o "Science"... È sbagliato anche usare le categorie come "hashtag", cioè metterne un po' a caso, perché come ti dicevo ognuna dovrebbe contenere immagini ben specifiche e indirizzate nel posto giusto. Il problema è che non è facile trovare la categoria più adatta, però si può sempre trovare una categoria sufficientemente approssimativa, dove casomai qualche utente esperto poi sposterà poi i file in quella più giusta.
Prendiamo le foto di panorami, luoghi e monumenti: tu parti sempre dal Comune (Florence, Siena, Rosignano Marittimo...) e poi apri la categoria per trovare quella più specifica ("Nature of Siena", "Cityscapes of Florence", oppure un edificio specifico, che trovi sempre raggruppato dentro "Buildings in...", "Churches in...", ecc.).
Prendiamo il caso delle foto naturali: bisognerebbe conoscere la specie di quello che stiamo fotografando, però non tutti abbiamo studiato botanica o zoologia, per cui dobbiiamo arrangiarci. In ogni caso possiamo riconoscere almeno la famiglia o il nome comune ("gabbiano", "volpe", "ape", "papavero"...). Per prima cosa vai su Wikipedia e scrivi semplicemente "gabbiano" nella casella di ricerca. Vedrai che ti porterà al nome specifico della famiglia che è "Larinae". In basso e a sinistra trovi poi un collegamento a "Commons". Se ci clicchi puoi facilmente arrivare alla categoria generica per quella famiglia o specie. Se sei in grado puoi scegliere una sottocategoria più specifica, oppure usa direttamente quella generica.
All'inizio può sempbrare difficile, ma se ci provi vedrai che il sistema delle categorie è affascinante e anche divertente, oltre che utile per trovare sempre l'immagine giusta. I have no idea how you manage to mess up creating the nomination page that much. You have to try again, and this time save the page properly before you add it to the list. BUT since it is the second try, you have to add a "/2", like this: Winter cherry blossom - Prunus Subhirtella Autumnalis Rosea.jpg/2 in the box at COM:FPC otherwise you will just come back to the old nom. Ciao, vedo che stai caricando abbastanza foto e migliorando progressivamente, sul fronte delle categorizzazioni e dei metadati. Grazie.
Son passato a dirti che l'Italia ha quasi finito di valutare le foto di Wiki Science Competition 2019 e informarti per correttezza che qui come nel caso di altri utenti ho proceduto a ricategorizzare una foto che hai caricato dopo la mezzanotte del 15 dicembre, la deadline italiana di WSC2019.
Fra qualche giorno pubblicheremo i risultati e volevo ringraziarti di aver partecipato anche se non sei arrivato/a in finale. Il motivo principale era la descrizione delle foto, che era probabilmente poco sceitifica, ma visto che probabilmente non vivi lontano se vuoi passare alla premiazione a Pisa quando la fisseremo ti posso spiegare meglio che tipo di foto hanno maggiori chance di vincere per la prossima edizione.--Alexmar983 (talk) 16:30, 24 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
Grazie, mi sto impegnando per migliorare e mi fa piacere che si noti. Ho partecipato con le foto che avevo in archivio, di qualità ben inferiore a quelle che ho visto in prefinale, per cui non mi aspettavo certo di vincere, ma ho seguito tutto e sto seguendo. Sulle foto scientifiche non avrò molte occasioni di scatto, mi sto impegnando invece per il prossimo Wiki loves monuments con una macchina fotografica anzichè un telefono (usato prevalemente per la scorsa edizione) specialmente per la Toscana. Il libro comprende anche un capitolo sul tuo lavoro! Si parla infatti di libertà di panorama, cioè la libertà di fare e diffondere foto come le tue, ma tutto l'anno e su tutti i monumenti d'Italia. Finché resta la legge attuale, per aumentare le foto caricabili puoi chiedere a un ente vicino a te di aderire a Wiki Loves Monuments. Speriamo che questo libro ti sia utile per apprezzare quanto hai fatto e per trasmettere la passione della conoscenza libera a una persona a te vicina.

Well, a few small things. Many users want the location written in text in the description and among the categories too, so that it is easy to see even without clicking on the coordinates. You also need to learn to add the gallery. You have to select the gallery from Template:Commons FP galleries and serch for the right subsection. As you can see, I have fixed all this for you. Manca una settimana alla partenza e per chi fosse già in giro ricordiamo le nuove località aderenti, già riportate nelle nostre liste in costante aggiornamento.
Nel 2020 hanno completato l'iter di ampliamento le amministrazioni di Cascina, Pomarance, Pescia, Empoli, San Quirico d'Orcia, Chiusi, Santa Fiora e Piombino, mentre hanno aderito per la prima volta a tempo indefinito il Museo delle Aviotruppe di Pisa e i comuni di Pescaglia, Gallicano, Camaiore, Santa Croce sull'Arno, Casale Marittimo, Quarrata, Montelupo Fiorentino, Buonconvento, Pratovecchio Stia, Sansepolcro, Castiglion Fiorentino, Anghiari, Badia Tedalda e Campiglia Marittima. Ci sono anche adesioni solo per il 2020 di alcune dimore storiche attorno a Pisa.
Risultano al momento richieste formali o informali di partecipazione o ampliamento della copertura da un'altra ventina di enti e amministrazioni, alcune delle quali potrebbero concretizzarsi nelle prossime due settimane. Fate attenzione che alcune delle adesioni solo per l'edizione 2019 nel nord della provincia di Prato e del comune di Massa non saranno probabilmente confermate, ma non sono ancora state rimosse dalle liste.

Of course details show that the camera/lens used are not great according to today’s standards, but with good, uncomplicated lighting (as here) the quality is still OK. I would second the hint given by other reviewers: It could be worthwhile to invest in a better camera, you seem to be a talented photographer and with a better camera/lens you could probably take very good pictures. Gazie alla preparazione e al vostro impegno, WLM è un successo in regione anche per questa edizione. Siamo stabilmente primi per caricamenti a livello nazionale: qui potete vedere alcune statistiche. Al momento risultano più reattive le province di Livorno, Siena, Pisa, Prato e Firenze.
Fra i nuovi beni aderenti confermati, e inseriti nelle liste, segnaliamo i comuni di Castel del Piano, Montignoso e la Domus Mazziniana di Pisa. Ci sono nuovi beni anche dal comune di Santa Fiora. Sono comunque in corso le verifiche sulla proprietà di alcuni edifici religiosi. C'è invece un aggiornamento nella lista di San Vincenzo, che aveva autorizzato annualmente nel 2019 e ha ridotto i beni aderenti. Per quanto riguarda le foto panoramiche, vengono smistate direttamente nelle categorie dei comuni e richiedono maggiore manutenzione, quindi vi preghiamo se possibile la cortesia di posticipare il loro caricamento a fine mese quando avremo più tempo di occuparcene.
La campagna sociale in concerto su tutti e tre i canali (per Facebook la pagina Wiki Loves Toscana) prevede ogni quattro giorni una serie divulgativa sulle foto delle edizioni precedenti in bianco e nero (caricate progressivamente qui su Commons) alternata a una serie sulle foto migliori dell'edizione in corso. Ogni giorno nel tardo pomeriggio o prima serata solo su Twitter e Facebook (gruppo ToscanaWiki) viene inoltre postata una foto fra quelle giunte predligendo varibailità di luogo e tema.

ti scrivo innanzi tutto per ringraziarti del tuo impegno e dedizione nel contribuire a Commons caricando le tue fotografie. Anch'io sono un appassionato di fotografia e, osservando i motivi per cui i tuoi scatti candidate a QI a volte non passano, vorrei darti dei consigli per provare a migliorare. Si tratta del mio punto di vista non autorevole da non professionista; spero, però, possano esserti utili e fornirti qualche spunto. Il problema principale che anch'io noto è la mancanza di dettaglio (che forse si può notare meglio su schermi ad alta densità di pixel). Per "mancanza di dettaglio" (menzionata a volte nelle valutazioni) intendo quell'aspetto "smussato" che può assumere ad esempio la sabbia, la terra, l'erba o le superfici ruvide di un castello.
È un peccato, perché la composizione delle tue fotografie è sempre molto buona e alcuni tuoi scatti sono presi davvero nel momento giusto—per la luce e per le condizioni atmosferiche.
Vorrei sottoporti alcuni elementi di riflessione riguardo a questo problema:
Noto che la compressione JPG che usi per l'esportazione è piuttosto alta. Non scenderei sotto il livello di qualità 90/100, come anche consigliato dalle linee guida. In questo modo sei sicuro che la foto quasi sicuramente non subirà un degrado visibile.
Puoi avere grandissimi benefici scattando in raw. Quando scatti in raw, la foto viene salvata con una dinamica molto ampia: questo ti permetterà di fare alcuni interventi (che spesso sono necessari, come abbassare le luci e alzare le ombre quando c'è un cielo luminoso, o aree in ombra) con un margine di manovra estremamente ampio e senza incappare in artefatti. Ciò significa che se, per ipotesi, devi (giustamente) sottoesporre una foto per non bruciare il cielo, potrai poi recuperare il dettaglio nelle ombre in post-produzione, perché la camera memorizza tutte le informazioni che riesce a catturare. Inoltre, la vignettatura e la distorsione della lente saranno compensate in automatico dal software di post-produzione, perché potrà leggere il modello della lente nei metadati del raw; anche ritoccare il bilanciamento del bianco sarà più semplice, perché verrà mostrata la temperatura colore utilizzata dalla camera durante lo scatto. Al contrario, scattando in jpg avrai alcuni svantaggi: – la foto verrà compressa subito una prima volta e sarà ricompressa una seconda volta dopo la post-produzione; – se alteri di molto l'esposizione, possono emergere artifici visibili; – in post-produzione sarà più laborioso compensare la distorsione della lente e la vignettatura (più evidenti su scatti più "grandangolari") – qualsiasi artefatto della compressione jpeg verrà evidenziato da correzioni prospettiche – il tuo margine di manovra per intervenire sul colore (bilanciamento del bianco, saturazione e luminanza di singoli colori) sarà molto ridotto (puoi provare a fare un confronto nel lavorare su un jpg e su un raw per capire la differenza nell'effetto dei tuoi interventi). Anche in questo caso, aumentare la saturazione (anche di un colore specifico) evidenzierà molto prima gli artefatti della compressione jpeg, mentre in raw non li vedrai mai (nemmeno con incrementi estremi).
Un ultimo beneficio del raw, un po' più avanzato, ma importante per quest'argomento, è il fatto che potrai controllare lo "sharpening" (così viene chiamato in Adobe Lightroom) e la riduzione del rumore manualmente in post-produzione. Se scatti in jpeg, questo verrà fatto in automatico dalla macchina fotografica. L'effetto collaterale di applicare molto noise reduction è proprio lo "smussarsi" dei dettagli; la macchina fotografica potrebbe scegliere di applicarne molto durante lo scatto, e questo sarà irreversibile. Inoltre, se volessi aumentare lo "sharpening" su una foto salvata in jpeg, esso evidenzierà anche gli artefatti jpeg.
Non conosco precisamente la dimensione del sensore, ma se le parti ai bordi dell'immagine non ti sembrano a fuoco prova a usare un'apertura di diaframma intermedia (per la mia camera, la Sony Alpha 5000, è f/9 o f/10; magari puoi capire qual è la tua apertura "media" dando un'occhiata al manuale).
Se fai più interventi cumulativi, parti sempre dalla foto originale (di solito è possibile salvare gli interventi di post-produzione in modo non distruttivo).
Un'ultima considerazione soggettiva: prova a non esagerare con quello che viene chiamato a volte "nitidezza" nei software di post-produzione (in Lightroom è "Presenza") perché può rendere il contrasto piuttosto duro e artificiale. Sfrutta piuttosto lo "sharpening" per recuperare un po' di dettaglio.

Fino all'anno scorso fotografavo solo con il mio telefono cellulare e non so molto di tecnica fotografica, e non ho molto tempo per studiare teoria, però pian piano sto capendo i miei punti deboli e sto cercando di migliorarmi. La nitidezza sembra sia il mio punto debole e spesso esagero in post-produzione. Altro mio punto debole è il cielo, che spesso mi si posterizza. Prego :) Se può esserti d'aiuto, ti elenco alcuni punti teorici chiave in modo basilare che puoi tenere a mente mentre scatti:
Puoi sperimentare con il programma "Apertura". Con questo puoi scegliere l'apertura del diaframma, mentre la camera imposterà in automatico un tempo di esposizione adeguato (se il tempo diventa troppo lungo, comincerà ad aumentare l'ISO = sensibilità del sensore). Con ISO alte aumenterà il rumore (granulosità). Di giorno puoi sempre usare l'ISO minima. L'apertura del diaframma corrisponde all' "f number": – "f piccolo" (es. f/4) = diaframma aperto = più luce in ingresso, ma profondità di campo stretta (utile se vuoi fotografare un soggetto sfocando lo sfondo = effetto "bouquet") – "f grande" (es. f/9) = diaframma più chiuso = profondità di campo ampia (necessaria se vuoi fotografare un paesaggio con l'intero campo a fuoco), ma meno luce in ingresso (aumenterà il tempo di esposizione) – l'ottica rende al meglio con le aperture intermedia del diaframma; le aperture più estreme introducono dei difetti ottici (con il diaframma molto aperto aumenta l'aberrazione cromatica, con il diaframma molto chiuso la maggiore diffrazione provoca una diminuzione della nitidezza; inoltre, un diaframma molto chiuso aumenta il tempo di esposizione, con maggior rischio di foto mosse con scarsa luce). Evita quindi "f" estremamente grandi (se ad es. hai da f/4 a f/22, potresti prediligere aperture fra f/8 e f/11, evitando di andare oltre); scegli un "f piccolo" se vuoi deliberatamente profondità di campo stretta (soggetto a fuoco con sfondo sfocato). Se sei in condizioni di scarsa luce (es. crepuscolo o sera), non hai un treppiede (che ti permetterebbe di fare un'esposizione lunga) e non vuoi aumentare troppo l'ISO, apri il diaframma.
Il cielo è sempre problematico, perché di solito è nettamente più luminoso delle altre aree della scena. Quando hai cielo nelle tue inquadrature, un metodo è questo: – esponi lo scatto in modo che il cielo non sia sovraesposto (il resto dell'inquadratura risulterà sottoesposto). Per questo, può essere molto comodo dare un'occhiata all'istogramma mentre scatti: se la forma dell'istogramma si avvicina al limite destro del grafico senza toccarlo (o toccandolo senza mostrare un picco sul bordo), il cielo non ha parti sovraesposte. – in post-produzione, dovrai alzare le "ombre" (shadows) per correggere la sottoesposizione. Se vuoi un cielo più vivido, puoi anche abbassare le "alte luci" (highlights). In questo modo la scena potrà assomigliare maggiormente a quanto vedeva il tuo occhio. Scattando in raw, puoi regolare luci e ombre in modo molto drastico senza artefatti. Nel ritoccare le luci e le ombre, di tanto in tanto dai un'occhiata alla foto originale per controllare che non ti stia facendo prendere la mano. :)
Se mentre fotografi hai il tempo di accertarti che tutto il quadro sia a fuoco, controlla i bordi dell'immagine: è quella l'area in cui l'ottica è più "debole". Se non lo fossero a sufficienza, magari il campo della scena ha molta profondità (es. soggetto molto vicino e orizzonte) e hai bisogno di aumentare ancora l'apertura ("f grande" = diaframma chiuso = più profondità di campo).
Riguardo al problema dei dettagli, nel software di post produzione cerca un modulo relativo al controllo dei dettagli (in Lightroom si chiama "Details" e contiene "Sharpness" e "Noise reduction"). In questo modo puoi dare un tocco di chiarezza alla foto in modo naturale, senza aumentare il contrasto (ma attento a non esagerare). Questo potrebbe far emergere un po' di rumore: se necessario, successivamente usa il "noise reduction", ma con molta moderazione e cautela, perché assieme al rumore smusserà i dettagli :)
Mentre in post-produzione sistemi esposizione, ombre e luci, tieni un occhio sull'istogramma. Un'immagine più scura è descritta da una forma concentrata più a sinistra; viceversa, una forma concentrata a destra descrive un'immagine più scura. Se ci sono dei picchi sulla sinistra, sono presenti dei pixel totalmente neri; se ci sono dei picchi sulla destra, sono presenti molti pixel totalmente bianchi (possibile segnale d'allarme per parti sottoesposte o sovraesposte nell'immagine). In sostanza, l'istogramma rappresenta la distribuzione dei pixel per la loro luminosità (bordo sinistro = pixel con luminosità 0, bordo destro = pixel con luminosità 255, in mezzo tutte le gradazioni di luminosità). Hi Anna.Massini, I suggest that your images might show Viburnum tinus, see e.g. [1] and [2]. At least the leaves look very much alike, but I have not seen the species so far and I do not know whether there are similar, possibly cultivated species in the area. However, even if these images are supposed to be an unidentified species of Viburnum, then they should be categorized in category Category:Unidentified Viburnum, else in Category:Viburnum tinus, not in Category:Viburnum. Come ogni anno, e questo è il decimo anniversario, torna Wiki Loves Monuments, il concorso fotografico più grande al mondo che negli anni ha coinvolto quasi 50 nazioni e più di 15.000 persone e hanno prodotto un database di oltre 360.000 immagini di monumenti, patrimonio culturale dell’umanità intera a disposizione di tutti su Wikimedia Commons.
Con la tua partecipazione hai sostenuto lo sviluppo turistico del nostro Paese perché rende disponibili a tutti le sue bellezze. L’obiettivo è la valorizzazione dell’immenso patrimonio culturale italiano sul web. Le fotografie dei monumenti vengono condivise su Wikimedia Commons, il grande database di immagini di Wikipedia, con licenza libera CC-BY-SA. Wiki Loves Monuments contribuisce infatti a diffondere la filosofia di Wikimedia Italia e di tutti i progetti wiki, che si basano sulla libera condivisione della cultura.
L’Italia nelle sue prime 9 edizioni (dal 2012 al 2020) conta 145.000 immagini 15.000 monumenti, 2.000 fotografi, 2.000 enti. Uno dei 2.000 fotografi sei tu e quindi anche quest’anno non puoi mancare, partecipa!!!
Gazie alla preparazione e al vostro impegno, WLM è un buon successo in regione anche per questa edizione. Siamo stabilmente secondi per caricamenti a livello nazionale: qui e qui si possono consultare alcune statistiche. Al momento risultano meno reattive le province di Prato e di Grosseto.
Fra i nuovi beni inseriti nelle liste segnaliamo da parte dei comuni sempre più ampliamenti rispetto alle nuove adesioni, mentre continuano ad aggiungersi sempre più beni privati. Tutte le liberatorie annunciate da quest'anno anche su Instagram sono da ritenersi verificate. Potrebbero arrivare comuni a fine mese al momento ancora in via di approvazione.
Per quanto riguarda le foto panoramiche, vengono inviate direttamente nelle categorie dei comuni e richiedono spesso la creazione di varie sottocategorie; per questo motivo vi preghiamo di non inviare troppe foto simili, dovendole in seguito smistare a mano.
La campagna sui tre canali sociali (per Facebook sia pagina che gruppo) prevede come nel 2020 una serie divulgativa con le foto delle edizioni precedenti in bianco e nero (caricate qui su Commons) alternata a una serie sulle foto migliori dell'edizione 2021, inframmezzate con più infografiche generali. Ogni giorno solo su Twitter e Facebook (gruppo ToscanaWiki) viene inoltre postata una foto fra quelle giunte prediligendo variabilità di luogo e tema.

Hi Anna.Massini, Your image File:Fiori di campo - Triodanis perfoliata con a Heracleum sphondylium.jpg shows a plant from the Brassicaceae (white flowers; not identifiable, but possibly a Lepidium species, such as Lepidium draba) and Geranium dissectum (with a red flower). For identification purposes you should always add a photograph of the whole plant, possibly some leaves and fruits, if there are any, even if this does not look as nice as the close-up photograph of the flowers, which are really tiny in this case. For example, it is almost impossible to identify a Brassicaceae plant when you cannot see any leaves and / or fruits. Hi Anna, I had a look at File:Salvia verbenica.jpg and it actually looks like it could be Salvia verbenaca (not Salvia verbenica). The only important thing that is not according to mittelmeerflora.de is that the lower bracts are longer than the calyx, but there is no species from the Salvia genus that is a better match and the leaves have the typical lobes. I also changed the category of your buttercup to Category:Unidentified Ranunculus. I am not really an expert for wildflowers from Italy, but I am rather sure that there is an amazing number of interesting wildflowers in your area. Quest'anno non abbiamo segnalato in corso d'opera perché abbiamo avuto delle metriche di adesione molto più alte rispetto agli ultimi anni, quindi incentivare il caricamento sarebbe stato controproducente per i partecipanti più occasionali. Probabilmente il prossimo anno ci sarà un calo fisiologico, e conviene pertanto preparare i vostri scatti per il 2023.

Se invece ci tieni a partecipare al concorso italiano, puoi far cancellare tu stessa ogni tua foto caricata in anticipo per poi ricaricarla in un secondo tempo (a dicembre) nell'ambito del concorso italiano. Basta che tu inserisca la stringa {{speedydelete|G7}}in ogni tua immagine già caricata qui. In questo modo, ne chiedi la cancellazione con motivazione G7 ("su richiesta di chi ha scattato e caricato le immagini").
Attenzione: questa procedura di SpeedyDelete con motivazione "G7" è valida solo per foto caricate meno di sette giorni prima da quando apponi la richiesta di cancellazione, e solo se la foto è inutilizzata. L'edizione 2023 di Wiki Loves Monuments si è conclusa.
Lo scorso anno non avevamo segnalato l'inizio del concorso perché abbiamo avuto delle metriche di adesione più alte rispetto agli ultimi anni, quindi incentivare il caricamento sarebbe stato controproducente per i partecipanti più occasionali.
Anche quest'anno l'adesione è stata alta (anzi nettamente più alta), probabilmente perché c'erano molte foto di chiese (la novità di quest'anno) negli archivi dei partecipanti storici e per questo non è stato inviato un messaggio durante settembre, mantenendo la strategia di massimizzare la promozione durante gli anni di minore partecipazione.
I finalisti son stati nel frattempo selezionati e annunciati. Qui troverete il riepiligo con i vincitori. Continuate a seguire i nostri canali social per ulteriori informazioni riguardanti la cerimonia di premiazione, che avrà luogo a Piombino nei prossimi mesi. Wiki Loves Folklore is an international photography contest hosted on Wikimedia Commons to document folklore and intangible cultural heritage from around the world, such as folk festivals, folk dances, folk music, folk activities, folk games, folk cuisine, folk wear, folktales, folk games, folk religion, mythology, and many more.
The campaign invites participants to document photographs, videos, and audios linked to folk culture and fit within the contest's theme. Through this campaign, you may become a part of a community dedicated to preserving our intangible culture, which has been brought and passed down for thousands of years.
How can I Contribute?
The dates for the submission in the photography contest on Wikimedia Commons are from 1 February 2024 through 31 March 2024. Probably you are wondering how you can take part. I don't feel like exposing myself in public. It's about this picture.
The picture is unbalanced: The roof space on the right is different than that on the left, so the subject is too close (or too tight) to the left. Many of the stones (perhaps called ashlars in English) at the top are blown out.

Ti scrivo questo messaggio per invitarti alla premiazione nazionale di Wiki Loves Monuments Italia che si terrà a Torino presso il Museo Nazionale del Risorgimento italiano domenica 18 gennaio 2026 a partire dalle ore 15:00. Alle 14:00 sarà anche possibile partecipare a una visita guidata gratuita al museo che ci ospita.
Questa sarà anche l'occasione per festeggiare il 25º compleanno di Wikipedia, per celebrare i vincitori del concorso regionale Wiki Loves Monuments Piemonte, e per ascoltare le testimonianze di alcune istituzioni culturali che, nel corso degli ultimi anni, si sono cimentate nella condivisione delle loro collezioni sui progetti Wikimedia.

Colgo l'occasione per ringraziarti per la tua preziosa partecipazione al concorso e per augurarti un felice 2026, naturalmente sempre all'insegna della conoscenza libera!
Si tratta sicuramente di installazioni in ferro battuto sulle mura di cinta di Civitella in Val di Chiana, però non vorrei sbagliarmi sui monumenti. Una foto raffigurava un monumento fatto di linee parallele verticali che volgevano tipo a cascata verso il basso, ma non mi viene in mente il titolo. E mi sembra fosse posizionata vicino alla statua di Don Daniele Tiezzi, il chierichetto che si salvò dalla strage del 1944 lanciandosi dal muro (la foto del chierichetto non mi è stata cancellata). E forse l'altra rappresentava l'uomo sul toro, sempre in ferro battuto, che invece è posizionata sulle mura ma più vicino alla Rocca. Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2025 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year is the twentieth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favourite images featured on Commons during the last year (2025) to produce a single Picture of the Year.
Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.
For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and the top 5% of most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just five images to become the Picture of the Year.

Wikimedia Commons is pleased to finally announce the winners of this year's Picture of the Year 2025 contest! We had some truly incredible finalists to choose from, but the community has spoken.
Here are your top three winning images:
First place: The aftermath of an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City on October 9, 2023, leaving widespread destruction in the Rimal area. Attribution: WAFA (Q2915969) / CC-BY-SA 3.0

I also want to highlight what an incredible turnout we had. In the second round, we saw a massive jump in both the number of users voting and the total votes cast. We had exactly 13,979 votes cast by 3,509 users! To put that in perspective, last year we had 7,403 votes from 2,837 users. It is amazing to see that level of growth and community engagement.
Thank you to everyone who voted, helped organize, and generally made the contest such a huge success this year!

Fixed Ok, I've fixed you nomination and put the "removal" page you accidentally created up for deletion. That is NOT how you remove pages! That is how you remove old FPs with not enough quality by today's standards, by voting on them. Try not to over-think things so much when you make a nomination.
