Meu procedimento padrão de raspagem de dados é: Gerar uma lista das urls que quero raspar e depois executar um script em python personalizado para essas páginas na minha máquina para pegar os dados disponíveis (os metadados + url específica da imagem, por exemplo). De posse dessa lista de urls de imagens, eu passo para uma extensão do Chrome ("Gerenciador de Download Chrono") para iniciar o download. E têm a lista de URL, e pelo que eu entendi criaram até um py para fazer o download dos metadados e das imagens.
O que eu queria entender é como usar esse py, e como eu não vou me perder para juntar essas informações.
@Rodrigo.Argenton: Para executar o py você teria que instalar o Python e poderia seguir as instruções na página do Git desse projeto (executar o comando pelo prompt de comando, como está escrito lá). Pelo que eu entendi, ao fazer isso, ele baixará as imagens e metadados para a pasta local. Como não se perder eu não sei, pois não sei como estão estruturadas essas informações. Desconheço os tais problemas que você diz que conheço, poderia clarificar? Hello, MGA73. There was a concern at the time I uploaded those files that the local governments (of all spheres) were overturning databases on the dead and missing in the Brazilian dictatorship. My uploads were in the direction of preserving these documents, which are public (until they are overturned or deleted, like it seems the case), published so and of paramount importance for the preservation of this dark past of Brazil. I'm sorry to see those links being overturned, for me is more proof of the erasure of the memory of the crimes of the Brazilian dictatorship. Ederporto (talk) 20:59, 4 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please do not continue to push a rename just because you prefer another name as you have done with File:Refletor, Acervo do Museu Paulista da USP (1).jpg and others. This is where they are, they meet our name criteria, and they are linked, and have references to them. Redirects exist from the names that you have identified, and your suggestions are less descriptive than the existing names. While your rationale may be appropriate for a museum's system, the naming process to which I pointed you has a different purpose. If you think that the naming policy needs a criteria about reflecting a com:GLAM's naming, then please start that RFC somewhere for that to be introduced into the criteria. Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.
For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. Oi Eder! Eu estou escrevendo um artigulo no en.wiki sobre os territórios federais no Brasil e econtrei uma mapa do território de Acre que amaria de usar (linkaqui) mas não sei se a imagem tem a licença adequada. Eu vi que vc carregou essa mapa do território federal de Guaporé/Rondônia e quis saber se vc também poderia carregar a mapa que eu encontrei. Hi! You have recently tried/used Wikimedia Commons features in OpenRefine (uploading files, or editing existing files). I'm curious to hear how this has gone, also if you only briefly tried these features.
To help the OpenRefine team with future improvements, it would be immensely helpful if you would be willing to spend a bit of time filling in two surveys. (Yes, two! Each of them uses a different method and (open source) platform). Both will run until approximately end October 2023.
A first, classical, survey (fully anonymous) where you can tell us how you use the Commons features in OpenRefine, and how you (want to) learn to use them better;
A second, more experimental survey (also fully anonymous) in which you prioritize the features that matter most to you. This second survey is a bit strange in that you can 'just keep clicking'. Feel free to use it as long or as briefly as you want; you can stop any time. Please also add your own suggestions!

Wikimedia Commons is pleased to finally announce the winners of this year's Picture of the Year 2025 contest! We had some truly incredible finalists to choose from, but the community has spoken.

I also want to highlight what an incredible turnout we had. In the second round, we saw a massive jump in both the number of users voting and the total votes cast. We had exactly 13,979 votes cast by 3,509 users! To put that in perspective, last year we had 7,403 votes from 2,837 users. It is amazing to see that level of growth and community engagement.
Thank you to everyone who voted, helped organize, and generally made the contest such a huge success this year!
