Corn vs. Maize und ein Bildfund

Dir laufen ja auch häufiger Feldbilder über den Weg … daher zur Info: Alles, was bislang Category:Cornfields in … hieß, findet sich nun unter Category:Maize fields, siehe dazu auch die neue Begriffsklärung Category:Corn. Ich hoffe, dass künftig deutlich weniger Weizenbilder beim Mais landen.

Zum Thema Abdrift habe ich File:Direktsaat Probleme002.JPG entdeckt. Kannst Du das für den Artikel gebrauchen? Für Laien dürfte das ein bisschen deutlicher sein. --:bdk: 05:38, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

Danke für das bessere Abdriftbild, habe es gerade getauscht. Zu den Maisfeldern: ist schon deutlicher wie es jetzt bezeichnet wird. Vor allem habe ich jetzt 2 Bilder zur Foliensaat entdeckt :-). In Norddeutschland wird die Foliensaat wohl versuchshalber beim Mais eingesetzt. Die abbaubare Folie wird fest verlegt und wirkt als kleines Gewächshaus. Sind die Pflanzen groß genug durchstoßen sie die Folie. Artikel folgt sobald der Artikel mit dem Milchharnstoff fertig ist. --Blonder1984 (talk) 10:28, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

Eine neue Kategorie

… hier, damit's Dir nicht entgeht ;-) Habe etwas gesucht, bis ich den besten engl. Begriff hatte – nicht so eingängig wie im Deutschen, aber dafür eindeutig. Auf meiner Disk.seite steht übrigens mittlerweile eine längere Antwort zu den Düngestreuerfragen. Grüße --:bdk: 02:40, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

Hallo mal wieder, Category:Field tramlines gibt's jetzt auch endlich :-) Vielleicht kannst Du diese Kategorie ab und an irgendwo einbauen, zumindest bei einschlägigen Fotos, auf denen Fahrgassen gut erkennbar sind und/oder eine Art Hauptmotiv bilden. Da sie sich fast in jedem Feld finden, dürfte es natürlich wenig sinnvoll sein, sie immer und überall zu ergänzen, wo sie nur halbwegs oder als „Beiwerk“ zu erkennen sind. Und dann hatte ich neulich ein paar Bilder mit der Category:Sulfuric acid versehen, für die Du eventuell Verwendung hast. --:bdk: 08:18, 17 August 2011 (UTC)

Yo, schon klar, aber ich hoffe bei sowas immer noch, dass endlich mal ein Englisch-Muttersprachler (der idealerweise nicht entweder nur US- oder nur UK-Begriffe im Kopf hat) in den hiesigen Landtechnikbereich reinschaut und einfach eine Anmerkung schreibt, daher die kleine Aufforderung bei dem Bild. Das könnte die Wahl eines passenden Kategorienamens erheblich erleichtern. Der Vorschlag straw bale collectors passt nicht ganz (Heuballen nicht vergessen *g*). Ballensammler ist übrigens auch im Deutschen eine sehr dehnbare Bezeichnung, die herstellerabhängig mal für Frontladeranbaugeräte, für Bauteile von Wickelgeräten, für eben jene Anhänger und sogar für Selbstfahrer benutzt wird. Gleiches gilt für die engl. Bezeichnungen bale collector und bale stacker in etlichen Varianten (wahlweise mit Zusätzen wie big bale, round bale, square bale, pick-up, self-loading, auto loading, wagon, trailer usw. (oder gar in Kombiform stacking collector). Eine Festlegung, welcher Begriff hier optimal wäre, fällt mir dann nicht leicht, und solange wir noch nicht weitere Bilder dazu haben, warte ich lieber mit der entsprechenden Kategorieanlage. Hmm, irgendwo im geograph-Fundus ist mir mal ein Transtacker über den Weg gelaufen. Den finde ich aber gerade nicht wieder (hatte den damals offenbar nicht in die Trailer-Kategorie gepackt *grummel* oder jemand anders hat das Bild umkategorisiert). --:bdk: 13:05, 17 August 2011 (UTC)

Um die Bewässerungstechnik habe ich sortiermäßig bisher einen Bogen gemacht und Bilder erstmal nur in Category:Irrigation und z.T. in Category:Reels gestopft (oder alternativ, wie diese Rarität gestern, ins momentane Sammelbecken Category:Agricultural techniques). Reels ist natürlich wieder so ein Allgemeinbegriff, denn damit kann auch eine Garnrolle oder sonstwas gemeint sein (da fehlen noch diverse Konkretisierungen/Unterkategorien; aufrollen kann man schließlich alles mögliche, von Seilen über Ketten, Kabel, Schläuche bis hin zu flexiblen Rohren). Die dt. Kategoriebenennung Schlauchhaspeln liegt wohl in der Feuerwehrlastigkeit des Artikels Schlauchhaspel begründet – entweder verschieben nach „Feuerwehrschlauchhaspel“ (fire hose reel) oder inhaltlich erweitern, so dass andere Nutzungen genauso erfasst werden … Ach ja, und im Gegenzug scheint mir de:Beregnungsmaschine noch arg nordwesteuropalastig zu sein, denn beschrieben werden nur die hierzulande üblichen Maschinen mit „Trommeln und Kanonen“ (en:Irrigation ist etwas weiter, hat dafür andere Mängel – und „unser“ System taucht dort nur sehr kurz unter en:Irrigation#Localized im Unterabschnitt Lateral move (side roll, wheel line) auf).

Hier bei Commons wäre m.E. Category:Hose reel irrigation machines gut (ohne Bindestrich zwischen hose und reel, s.a. Hose Reel Irrigation und en:Hose reel; irrigation machine ist verbreiteter und präziser als irrigator). Falls diese Kategorie später mit Unterkategorien für die Einzelbestandteile versehen werden sollte (z.B. für Bilder, die nur Trommeln/Schlauchhaspeln mit/ohne Schlauch oder nur Kanonenwagen zeigen), dann müsste noch genauer überlegt werden, welche Begriffe sich anbieten (z.B. kann irrigation reels auch mehrdeutig sein). --:bdk: 08:13, 23 August 2011 (UTC)

Du wolltest ja mal Kategorien für die Gewichte haben. Gerade eben habe ich dazu endlich ein hoffentlich brauchbares Bild aus meinem Fundus beigesteuert. Die ansonsten vorhandenen Aufnahmen sind ja doch eher dürftig, weil sie die Gewichte nur als Beiwerk zeigen … jetzt fehlt nur noch der passende Artikel ;-) --:bdk: 09:19, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
