Start a new theme

Doesn't seem to work on Lr13

Since the update, I can't seem to upload any images. Instead I get this error message: "Export nicht möglich: Ein interner Fehler ist aufgetreten: ?:0: attempt to perform arithmetic on field 'fileSize' (a nil value)" MB-one (talk) 18:20, 10 October 2023 (UTC)

Does not work with LR V13.0.1 under Windows 11 Pro, Version 22H2 for me either. I also get the message as above and in addition the warning "Export nicht möglich: HTTP-Status 503".

Is perhaps related to the fact that from the version Lightroom Classic 13.0 the XMP write frequency has been changed. However, the Lightroom field "File Size" is displayed in the LR library under the "EXIF and IPTC" metadata.--F. Riedelio • 💬 11:49, 19 October 2023 (UTC)

Request for Information

Dear all, for the purpose of error analysis I am looking for

a) users for whom the plugin no longer works since the LR update to version 13.x

b) users for whom the plugin did not work after the LR update to version 13.x, but is now working again.

I'm on group b), as I have been using the plugin without any issue since Lr v.13.0.1 (now running 13.3.1 and MacOS Sonoma 14.5). Is there any other useful piece of information I can provide? Julesvernex2 (talk) 14:03, 12 June 2024 (UTC)

It would be good to know, how it started working again. Since my update to 13.x export screen brings up an error message. Now I'm on 13.3.1, Win11. Meanwhile I've reinstalled my Laptop completely, so any new installation wouldn't help. Stepro (talk) 11:08, 13 June 2024 (UTC)

Momentan funktioniert kein Mehrfachupload. Und nach jedem Abbruch muss die Software, die dann als defekt angezeigt wird (gelb, statt grün) muss deinstalliert und neu installiert werden. Wuselig (talk) 21:31, 18 July 2024 (UTC)

Login Problems with SUL3

We have a login problem with SUL3, as described here. For now I could fix that by restarting Lightroom, the first upload batch seems to work. Seewolf (talk) 12:02, 28 March 2025 (UTC)

@Seewolf Luckily I do not have this issue (for now?). Uploaded some images today with LrMediaWiki 1.8.0, LR 14.2 Win. The difference could be, that I use as Oversighter 2FA and therefore I have to use for LR the BotPasswords system: Special:BotPasswords. Could you try this too? Even possible when not using 2FA. Faszinierend. Bis gerade eben hat alles funktioniert wie immer, dann plötzlich mitten im Upload der Loginfehler. Auch Neustarten von LR hat nichts geholfen. Nach Umstellung auf BotPasswort funktioniert es wieder. --Stepro (talk) 17:39, 7 April 2025 (UTC)

• I have the same problem. First upload works, after that the error message occurs ("The supplied credentials could not be authenticated"). A restart helps. But how can I fix it permantentely without restart? --Tuxyso (talk) 21:40, 3 May 2025 (UTC)

Vielen Dank, Raymond mit dem eigens angelegten API-User bekomme ich die Fehlermeldung nicht mehr und kann auch mehrere Male hintereinander aus Lightroom Bilder hochladen. Wenn das nun standardmäßig erforderlich ist, müsste die Anlage eines API-Users vermutlich auch in die Anleitung für das LrMediaWiki hinzugefügt werden, oder? --Tuxyso (talk) 08:13, 4 May 2025 (UTC)

Lightroom 15

Perhaps, this would be the time to start about new discussions of what we need to do to upgrade LrMediaWiki. What features we would like and last not least, who feels competent enough to implement this and make LrMediaWiki resilient for the future.

Now some people might want to argue, why should any Wikimedia volunteer, or even somebody involved with programming at the Support-level be interested to work with a commercial programm?

Well for us using Lightroom, Lightroom is not just a editing/processing tool - something short of Photoshop, the Satan's tool of manipulating reality.

As a processing tool, lightroom does not more or less than what photographers have been doing since the beginning, in pre-digital time, with chemistry on celluloid and paper in the darkroom. But for us it is also a convinient organizing tool, that helps us manage the ten-thousands of images in a systemthat let's us find them by date, by location and by subject. And that let's us do our complete workflow from dumping our photographs from Camera to Safe Storage, cataloguing, processing and uploading with the proper Wiki-/Commons syntax all within one system.

It is this versitality that makes Lightroom so attractive, and even at its subscription cost, very cheap per upload. (Even volunteer time is money (Opportunity cost). Wuselig (talk) 10:50, 2 November 2025 (UTC)
