What is Wiki Loves Monuments?

Wiki Loves Monuments is a global photo contest that started in the Netherlands in 2010, then expanded to a European-wide competition in 2011, and finally became global in 2012 with participating countries from all over the world. Qatar first joined this competition in 2021. We are excited to announce Qatar's participation once again in 2025!

The contest is open to everyone, and you can take photos on cameras but also smartphones or tablets. Wiki Loves Monuments is organized in Qatar by Qatar Museums's Archaeology Department and Tasweer.
