Possible color cast / white balance check

[edit]

Article(s): Various articles using this image.

Request
The image looks slightly warm/yellowish to me. I'm not sure whether this is a real color cast or simply the lighting conditions when the photo was taken. Could someone take a look? If a white-balance correction is justified, a fix would be appreciated. --Flaspec (talk) 18:11, 3 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Graphist opinion(s)
I've given it a go; I also corrected the slight tilt in the photo and clone-filled the edges as necessary. Let me know what you think, can always revert if it's not liked - MPF (talk) 00:52, 7 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the work so far, I like the white-balance correction and the slight leveling of the image. The result looks more natural to me.
One small question: do you think it's possible to reduce some of the visible image noise, especially in the sky, without noticeably degrading fine details or introducing an over-processed look?
If a clean noise reduction is feasible, I'd be happy to see that version as well. If not, I'm perfectly satisfied with the current edit and the request can be marked as resolved.
Thanks again! -Flaspec (talk) 08:00, 7 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Flaspec Thanks! Unfortunately I don't know how to do the image noise (I can see what you mean, and noticed it yesterday), but anyone else is welcome to give it a go - MPF (talk) 17:22, 7 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

The second image, originally uploaded in 2021, seems to have been mirrored as well as cropped relative to the 2013 original. It should be flipped horizontally to restore authenticity. --–LaundryPizza03 (d) 01:02, 4 July 2026 (UTC)[reply]

The new image is 4 px shorter on the horizontal axis. Please try again. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 15:45, 8 July 2026 (UTC)[reply]
As the original image's width wasn't a multiple of 16 (or 8 in the case of 4:4:4 or 4:1:1 chroma subsampling), losslessly mirroring it cropped it to the next smaller block boundary. JPEG being a lossy format, mirroring and reencoding the image would reduce image quality. A difference of 4 pixels over 1556 is insignificant. cmɢʟee ⋅τaʟκ 20:38, 8 July 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hello!
Could someone please remove the power lines from this photo while preserving the original image quality?
This is my own photograph, taken in Almaty, Kazakhstan, in June 2021.
I previously uploaded an AI-edited version with the power lines removed, but it has been nominated for deletion because AI editing is not accepted. I was advised to ask here instead.
Thank you very much for your help! --Gulsana Battakova (talk) 05:50, 10 July 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Who can stitch?

[edit]

Article(s): I don't know yet

Request
Hi. Does someone know, how to stitch? I tried several times with Hugin - Panorama editor. The result was always an optically distorted picture, although I chose 'straight'. The stitching itself is rather easy here, plenty of anchor points possible. But the sharpness of each is very uneven. Thanks in advance. (File:Venice, Museo Correr, painted plan of Venice (17th ct.) 2.jpg and File:Venice, Museo Correr, painted plan of Venice (17th ct.), Pza.jpg maybe for cracks) --MenkinAlRire (talk) 19:42, 18 July 2026 (UTC)[reply]
