One thing you want to share with prospective students: Have an open mind. There are so many areas of law that you could specialize in, yet many students come in thinking they want to practice a certain area of law and close off the idea of even considering a different area. Law school is not like the TV shows you see on Netflix, and there is much more to it. I suggest joining as many clubs as you see fit to gain insight about that specialty and what it might look like to practice in that area. The area you think you want to specialize in is not always as it seems, and being open to other possibilities and exploring those options is a great way to see if that is truly what you want to do.

Favorite thing about Charleston School of Law: My favorite thing about CSOL is the supportive environment. Not only do your professors want you to succeed, but so do your classmates. Although law school is a competitive environment, those around me genuinely want me to succeed and are incredibly supportive. Additionally, the open-door policy allows me to not only get answers quickly but also build a relationship with my professors and have stimulating conversations.
