Welcome to The Boddingtons Village Cricket League. Formed in 1994. It has evolved into a social cricket league. Intended for players not quite ready for full weekend cricket and players who still want to play but may have seen their best performance behind them. There are also a few players who aren’t available for weekend cricket too. We have structured the rules to make sure all players participate in some way. In a 20 over innings batsmen retire on 20 and the most a bowler can bowl is 4 overs. Social players are favoured, players who play in higher level divisions at weekend are ineligible. Bouncer's are also “controlled” so as you can see we tend to shield inexperienced players.
