Columba Catholic Primary School is located in the township of Bunyip, 85km east of Melbourne. Established in 2001, our school now operates 13 classes and welcomes approximately 300 students. We are part of a growing community that values its country-town character and strong sense of belonging.

At Columba, our purpose is clear: we exist to nurture children in their faith and support their growth as Christ-centred people. Inspired by the Scriptures, we encourage our students to live out the Gospel in the ways they learn, care for others, and engage with their world. We are proudly Catholic, committed to providing high-quality learning and placing the wellbeing of every child at the centre of what we do.

Our school community is one of our greatest strengths. We work together to build a culture of respect, inclusion and genuine welcome. Families are valued partners in their children’s learning, and we prioritise creating a safe, supportive environment where each child feels known and experiences a strong sense of belonging.

Columba is blessed with dedicated, nurturing staff who work collaboratively and with genuine care for every student. Our educators believe learning is most powerful when relationships are strong and students feel both supported and challenged. We aim to foster confident, capable, curious learners who take responsibility for their growth and develop the skills they need for the world around them.

We draw on the Victorian Curriculum to guide student learning and assessment, ensuring a clear and consistent approach across the school.

It is a privilege to be part of a community that values faith, learning and creativity; a place where every child is encouraged to explore their potential, discover their gifts and ‘Let Their Light Shine.’
