Message from the Principal
Dear Parents,

I am extremely proud and honoured to be entrusted with the responsibility of leading Columba Catholic Primary School. It is a privilege to walk alongside families and to support the growth, learning and wellbeing of your children.
At Columba, children are welcomed, known and valued. We are committed to creating a school environment where every student feels safe, supported and included. Our clear routines, restorative practices and consistent expectations help ensure that students experience a sense of security and belonging. We actively teach children about their rights, responsibilities and the impact of their choices, nurturing a community that is peaceful, respectful and just.
Columba is a family-centred school with an enrolment of approximately 300 students, and we take great pride in being a place where each child’s unique strengths, creativity and potential are recognised. Just as every child is an individual—with their own character, interests and needs—so too is their learning journey. Our dedicated teachers plan engaging, innovative and personalised learning programs to support every student at their point of need, ensuring they continue to grow academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
We offer a strong Prep Orientation Program and a dedicated transition website to assist new families in preparing their child for school. If your child will be starting school soon, I warmly invite you to visit us and see our students and staff in action. School tours are available by appointment and can be arranged through our office at office@bunyip.catholic.edu.au or by calling 5629 5933.
Every day, I witness a genuine joy for learning throughout our school. Our curriculum is rich, comprehensive and stimulating, supported by excellent resources and a highly committed staff team. The dedication of our teachers ensures that students experience learning that is engaging, meaningful and responsive to their needs. Our students’ achievements reflect the passion and professionalism of the educators who guide them through these foundational years.
As Principal, my door is always open. I welcome conversations with families about your child’s progress, wellbeing or anything related to school life.
I look forward to meeting you and working in partnership with your family. At Columba, all children are welcome—always. We are proud to be a community where every learner is supported to grow and to truly Let Their Light Shine.
Warmest Regards,
Andrew Greco
Principal
