For 19 years, I’ve served the community I love—including 11 years on City Council (and three-time Mayor) and the last four years as a County Supervisor.

As elected leaders, our first priority is to our residents and the local businesses that provide our economic backbone. There will always be competing pressures for resources and priorities, but I believe—and my record demonstrates—that through respect, listening, understanding, experience, and courage, we can provide for our residents, protect our planet, and continue to build community resilience.

I will continue to prioritize affordability, sustainability, and equity, focus on solutions that matter in day-to-day life, and fight for North Bay residents and communities in Sacramento.
  • Affordability & Cost of Living:

Whether it’s housing, energy, food costs, childcare, health care, or basic services, our families are facing an affordability crisis (which is disproportionately impacting children and families, older adults, and our immigrant and LGBTQ+ communities. I will continue to prioritize cost impacts for residents over political expedience. Local Economy & Opportunity:

As a small business owner, I understand local challenges firsthand, and I know the importance of local businesses for our local economy. 99% California businesses in are small businesses, and are critical in supporting our local economy, providing jobs, and shaping our unique cultures and communities.
  • Resilience & Climate Change: I have prioritized tangible resiliency projects and programs to protect residents and infrastructure from fires, floods, sea level rise, and drought—all of which are immediate and critical issues for our district.
  • Defending Democracy Whether it’s protecting our people, or the constitution itself, this is the time to take a stand. I will continue to ensure that every resident in every neighborhood feels safe and the rule of law applies equitably for everyone.
My primary commitment is to supporting affordable, healthy, safe communities—for residents and local businesses. I look forward to working on issues that reduce the rising costs of groceries, healthcare, day care, and utilities, supporting a sustainable future (from public transportation to open space, and ensuring support for young families and our senior residents.
In addition to Senator Adam Schiff and Congressman Jared Huffman, I am supported by 100's of locally elected leaders and community members. Please visit https://www.ericlucan.com/endorsements
