This book was published as a supplement to the first edition of the book それは「ポン」から始まった-アーケードTVゲームの成り立ち (In the Beginning, There was "Pong") by Masumi Akagi (赤木真澄). It details a list of companies involved with the creation of arcade video games, the month of release of each game, as well as details on game developers for games where available. The largest section of the book is in Japanese, but the latter section has an attempt at English chronology as well.

The material herein was drawn from industry sources (Game Machine, Cash Box, Replay) as well as previous attempts at creating such lists in Japanese. However, due to it's scope, it is not completely accurate. (The reposter of this material has found several errors even in the Japanese materials). It is however a window into information as yet unseen in the English speaking world.
