A 13-strong team took part in the challenge as part of the annual Taylor Wimpey Challenge event.

Beeston was appointed as chair of the Taylor Wimpey board in July 2010.

Fitch expects Taylor Wimpey to effectively manage housing cycles by continuing to forward-sell and limiting debt-funded land acquisitions.

Debbie Whittingham, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, said: "We previously sponsored both the Under-10 Girls and Under-12s teams in 2016 and we're delighted to be extending this relationship into 2017.

Over the years, Taylor Wimpey has helped raise more than PS3m for Macmillan by sponsoring the event and Louise Smith, Lesley Evans, Bridget Warlow and Rebecca Reeves from Taylor Wimpey South Wales pulled together to show their support.

Simon, who lives at Fenay Bridge, took up his post overseeing Taylor Wimpey's scheme in April last year.
