27 February 2012 - Credit Suisse was picked lead manager for French unemployment insurance agency Unedic's issue of a EUR750m (USD1bn) bond, which was priced on Friday, Reuters said.

The unemployment insurance agency is required to notify the State or local child support enforcement agency (enforcing a child support obligation) of the claimant who owes the obligation only if the claimant is determined eligible for benefits.

The process, referred to as an earnings crossmatch, entails merging quarterly earnings records reported to the state unemployment insurance agency with data routinely collected by the VR agency.

The name of the unemployment insurance agency was changed from the Department of Industry, Labor, and Job Development to the Department of Workforce Development.

Deductions from benefits shall be made for any such child support obligations, and the amount of such decution paid by the State unemployment insurance agency to the appropriate child support agnecy.

Types of payment errors are classified on the basis of whether the error was the "responsibility" of the unemployment insurance claimant, covered employers, the State unemployment insurance agency, or a combination of the three.
