To achieve this critical industry goal, Emerson will work collaboratively with Repsol to implement and deploy advanced subsurface imaging technologies, with core technologies developed by Repsol as part of Kaleidoscope, its 10-year innovation project.

These advances will be used by a broad range of the geoscience community within Repsol and in all oil and gas companies that choose to license the technologies.

We expect Repsol to fund the acquisition through available cash and to not move any debt into the acquired subsidiary.

Block NC-202 formed part of a package of exploration blocks including the neighbouring offshore Blocks NC-201, NC-199 (Cyrenaica), and onshore Blocks NC-200 (Murzuq Basin), NC-203 and NC-204 (Kufra Basin) which were awarded to Repsol and OMV in June 2003.

To meet these requirements of the polyurethane industry, Repsol has implemented improvements in its processes that have made possible to achieve a specification of styrenefree content in Alcupol P-3091, of less than 5ppm, and a reduction of total volatile organic compounds in 75 per cent, compared to a standard polymer polyol.

Ping Identity said it has been chosen by Repsol to provide secure, federated identity solutions to its employees worldwide.

The operation will boost Repsol's output by 76 percent to 680,000 barrelsof oil equivalent while its reserves will increase by 55 percent to 2,353billion barrels of oil equivalent, the company said.
