The 1394th redeployed the 1397th DDSB, which served as the Container Management Element in both the OIF and OEF theaters, in December 2009.
Assigned to the DDSBs are 21 port management teams, 19 terminal service teams and nine automated cargo documentation detachments.
The 840th, supported by elements of the 1397th DDSB that were attached, prepared a Program of Instruction for a course that would remedy the problem and presented the idea to Multi-National Corps-Iraq.
Currently, the 1185th DDSB is mobilized in Support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and is performing its primary duties at the Port of Ash Shuaiba, Kuwait, but services the entire USCENTCOM area of operations, with a presence in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait.

DDSB was SFC Sidney Theard, who was responsible for the transfer of the cargo from the local truck carrier to the ocean carrier, APL.
In short, the USAR Transportation Terminal Battalion (TTB) model has changed, and the new organization, DDSB, may help this process.
As the TTB model is replaced by the DDSB model, there are significant changes in the way units will operate when they reach the port.
In December 2008 the group deployed the 1181st DDSB and the 614th Automated Cargo Detachment to conduct port operations for 595th Transportation Group in Kuwait.

DDSB recently performed one historical landmark at Port Shuaiba by unloading the 10,000th Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle.
