Bandwidth requirements still remain somewhat high and costly to implement, requiring a minimum basic rate interface (BRD integrated services digital network (ISDN) for low rate (less than 20 fps transmission) and primary rate interface (PRO or T-1 lines for real time transmissions.

The system operates at transmission speeds of 768 kbps using Primary Rate Interface (PRI) or external networks, and speeds of up to 512 kbps using the integrated 4 Basic Rate Interface (BRI) ISDN network interface.

The 801 provides a basic rate interface ISDN S/T port, the 802 adds an integrated Network Termination device, NT-1, and the 803 and 804 include a four-port Ethernet hub and two optional analog telephone interfaces.

The product bundles a WAN connection, Basic Rate Interface or Ethernet Port with an internal router, eliminating external add-on routers.
